The gods are all-seeing. All-knowing. All-powerful. But what is the point of being all-powerful if you are not the most powerful?
To determine who holds this title, the six most influential gods have come together to hold a competition. The rules are simple: Each will choose a different champion to spread their word among Panthea, a currently godless land with seven cities. The first god that manages to get temples built for them in all seven cities wins. Now, with the rules set and the Champions ready, let the competition for the greatest god begin!

The Gods

Connection

You believe that wealth is the most powerful thing in the universe. You pull your followers along by offering them gold, relishing in their praise. You already know you are the most powerful god. You are only competing to rub it in the other god’s faces.

Secrets

You believe the world is run on what goes left unsaid. Using your extensive knowledge of what others want kept quiet, you can quickly pull people under your thumb. The other gods scoff at you for being quiet and crafty, but if you win, they will all have to bow to you and your power.

Feast

You believe in a good time! You like to have fun, and to have fun, humans need excess. The humans tend to follow you around, despite the fact you don’t actively recruit them. You hope if you win, all the other gods will start caring a bit more about the mortals.

Famine

You believe that life is suffering, and people should work for what they have. You relish in others misery, as the humans always tend to pray more when they have nothing. The other gods are all too kind, and your victory will prove that being cruel is the only way to rule over worlds.

Life

You believe in the prosperity of humanity. The world is not completely perfect, but you help where you can. The longer life goes on, the more people change and grow. If you win, the other gods will start to see they should care more about the people who worship them.

Death

You believe in chaos. And what creates more chaos than sudden death? Things in the world need to change, but first, you have to uproot what’s already been set in stone. If you win, the other gods will have to help you start the world anew.

The Play

Turn Actions (In order):

  1. Draw a card:

    1. At the beginning of each round of play, one player draws a card and all players follow the instructions of the event. Cards impact every player unless otherwise stated. The player who rolled the highest for turn order draws the first card, then goes around in a circle for each subsequent round.

  2. Take Action:

    1. As a champion: You have 3 days to do any actions you wish to do. Every action takes a certain number of days to complete. You can choose to ascend to your god form before doing anything else. A player does this automatically, but it takes their full turn (3 days of meditation). Otherwise, they may beseech their god for their ascended view by rolling. If a player rolls equal to or higher than their Ascension Number, they get to ascend and continue their turn. A champion can attempt ascension up to 3 times in one turn.

    2. As a god: You can only do one god action per turn. If you are a god and cannot take any actions, you may choose to gain three loyalty as your action. If you wish to take another god’s actions, you pay them the amount of Loyalty required to activate that ability, and it must be the action of a god currently in play (though they do not need to be ascended). A god can also descend at any point without needing to roll, but it will end their turn.
